The International Chamber for Business and Industry (ICBI) hosted its much-anticipated Annual Event 2025, transforming the venue into a vivid canvas of Kolkata’s heritage, vibrancy, and charm. This year’s theme, “Calcutta Charms”, paid a soulful tribute to the city’s cultural icons, legacy, and enduring spirit.
The event was not just a celebration, but a heartfelt homage to the essence of Kolkata—from its intellectual heart on College Street to the rhythmic lanes of Kumartuli, where artisans breathe life into clay. The venue was designed to offer a nostalgic walk through these symbolic cityscapes, recreating iconic landmarks and atmospheres. A recreated Trincas Bar and vintage tea stalls sparked fond memories of Kolkata’s golden past.
Founded by Aditya Murarka, Vishnu Sureka, and Mahesh Kedia, ICBI has emerged as a dynamic platform empowering entrepreneurs and professionals. With over 400 members in its Main Wing, 200 in the Women’s Wing, and 150 in the Youth Wing, ICBI has become a significant force driving leadership and innovation in the region.
One of the evening’s highlights was the ICBI Icon Awards, where members were recognized for their outstanding contributions across business, leadership, and community service. The awardees were celebrated for embodying the Chamber's vision, ethics, and forward-thinking approach.
Adding glamour to the night, the ICBI Women’s Wing hosted a remarkable fashion walk, with its members turning into models and walking the ramp with confidence and grace. This stylish celebration of womanhood was more than just a showcase of fashion—it was a demonstration of strength, unity, and sisterhood within the organization.
The event reached its crescendo with a live musical concert by Bollywood playback singer Shalmali Kholgade, who brought the house down with her chart-topping hits including Balam Pichkari. Members danced, sang, and celebrated the spirit of togetherness, concluding the night on a high and joyful note.
As the curtains came down on the ICBI Annual Event 2025, what lingered was not just the glam and grandeur, but a genuine feeling of pride in Kolkata’s roots and a renewed commitment to community, collaboration, and culture.
